Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to play a key role in managing their financial processes and ensuring smooth accounting operations. Join a dynamic and growing manufacturing organization in San Antonio, Texas, as they continue to expand their operations and deliver high-quality products to their clients.Key Responsibilities• Take full ownership of the General Ledger accounting process, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.• Collaborate with various departments to understand how business operations impact accounting and financial reporting.• Analyze and interpret financial data to provide actionable insights to leadership.• Assist in audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulations.• Participate in process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance department.Key Requirements:• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required.• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting leadership experience, with a strong preference for manufacturing industry.• Ability to take ownership of the GL accounting process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.• Must be a proactive learner, quick on your feet, and willing to ask questions to gain a thorough understanding of the accounting process and the business operations that impact it.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.• Proficient in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).If you are a driven accounting leader with manufacturing experience and a passion for learning and growth, we encourage you to apply!
