POSITION SUMMARY:
The Demand Planner will work closely with the Director of Inventory Planning. Has overall responsibility for monitoring and analyzing, past sales, relevant seasonality patterns and future demand and market intelligence to provide an estimated monthly demand forecast to deliver sales and inventory goals. Working closely with the sales team this role will focus on building models... that can be used by the Director of Inventory Planning to create Supply Plans which can then be reviewed in line with the financial targets of the business.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver monthly demand plans for a rolling 12 month forward period
Providing a plan that can be reviewed by SKU, Collection and Stock Grade
Analyze sales/category/customer sales trends in order to inform demand plans
Implement regular monthly forecast reviews with sales managers to add “market intelligence” updates to the demand plan. e.g promotion plans, listing changes
Conduct bi-weekly and monthly forecast maintenance
Support forecasting of new range launches
Advising safety stock levels
Support the Inventory Director with data to help the reallocation of domestic or overseas inventory
Work collaboratively with other areas on process improvement
Identify business opportunities/risks and make recommendations to cross functional teams on how to improve inventory availability and inventory health

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent proven experience in Supply chain in a FMCG business
High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP)
Experience 3-5 years preferred in any of: supply/inventory planning, marketplace planning/buying, demand planning, financial planning
Analytical mindset, able to work with large data sets
Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite a plus!
Strong attention to detail while still being a creative problem solver
Willingness to take on wide array of ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests
Strong organizational and communication skills
Forecasting: 3 years (Required)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to sit/stand for 8 hours.
Walking, bending, light lifting up to 50 lbs.
