Job Title: ED Registration (2nd Shift)Location: Chicago, ILIndustry: HealthcarePay: Up to $22 per hour, depending on experienceAbout Our ClientOur client is a reputable hospital seeking a motivated ED Registration representative to join the admissions team. As the first point of contact for patients entering the Emergency Department, this role is essential in ensuring smooth, efficient, and accurate registration processes.Job DescriptionThe ED Registration representative will be responsible for conducting patient interviews, both over the phone and in person, entering demographics, and maintaining accuracy for proper billing and collection. This position requires someone experienced in emergency department settings, capable of managing high-stress interactions, and familiar with EPIC for registration processes.Key Responsibilities- Conduct patient intake interviews in the Emergency Room and Admitting Department.- Accurately input patient demographics into the system for billing.- Follow up on incomplete registrations to ensure the accuracy of records.- Collaborate with other departments as needed to improve service delivery.Qualifications- Experience: Previous experience in ED Registration is required.- Systems Knowledge: Proficient in EPIC; familiarity with Cerner is a plus.- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to stay composed in high-pressure situations, and strong attention to detail.- References: Positive professional references that attest to the candidate's performance.Additional Details- Assignment Type: Contract-to-hire.- Shift Hours: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, with Tuesday and Wednesday off.- Dress Code: Business Casual.- COVID Policy: COVID-19 vaccination required.Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
