We are seeking an experienced Controller to manage our financial operations within the legal industry. Reporting to the CFO, this role oversees accounting, payroll, and financial strategy, ensuring compliance and providing key financial insights to support the firm's growth.Initially this role will be fully on-site, with the option for hybrid after 6 months.Key Responsibilities• Financial Management: Lead the preparation and analysis of financial reports, tax returns, and regulatory filings.• Internal Controls: Develop and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and safeguard financial assets.• Cash Management: Oversee cash flow and manage banking relationships.• Team Leadership: Direct and mentor the accounting and payroll teams, fostering a high-performance culture.• Audit & Compliance: Coordinate audits and ensure accuracy in tax preparation and reporting.• Financial Analysis: Provide strategic financial analysis, identifying trends and risks, and propose improvement strategies.Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s preferred.• Must have experience in the Legal field.• CPA designation is highly desirable.• 10+ years of experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in professional services.• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.• High integrity and attention to detail.Compensation & Benefits• Competitive salary with performance bonuses.• Initial onsite requirement, potential for hybrid schedule after six months.• 401k plan with employer match.• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.• Paid time off and holidays.• Employee wellness and assistance programs.
