Senior Accounting Analyst

Addison Group is partnered with a Fortune 1000 company on the search for a Senior Accounting Analyst. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accounting Analyst will work on a variety of processes with the goal of cleaning up and improving accounting and system processes. This is not the typical G/L, month-end accounting role. The Senior Accounting Analyst must have a solid understanding of GAAP, strong data skills and knack for working with systems. This is a great role for those who live diversity in their work and the opportunity to put their stamp on processes.Responsibilites:• Analyzing and interpreting accounting processes with the goal of devising fresh approaches to optimize the workflow and suggesting enhancements• Researching and analyzing current processes and procedures from acquired businesses to fully integrate and merge those processes• Analyzing data and creating new methods to transition data into new financial processes or systems• Preparing various reports• Understanding, navigating, importing, exporting data from multiple systems• Developing and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)• Partnering with various strategic business partners to understand processes and come up with improvement solutionsQualifications:• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related areas• 4+ years of relevant experience in accounting, audit or related functions• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required such as V, H and XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros, etc.• Proficiency in Power BI is a plus• Experience with Artificial Intelligence tools is a plus• Knowledgeable and experienced with US GAAP• Strong written and verbal communication skills
