Required Degree: MA in Spanish Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Pedagogy, or related field
The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience: Professional experience in Spanish second-language pedagogy. Preference is given to candidates with experience/training in the supervision of teachers and/or teacher training. The successful candidate must speak and write Spanish and English at a native or near-native level.
Duties/Expectations:
The candidate will teach Spanish 376 and upper-division courses for the Spanish Teaching Major and Minor.
Supervise student instructors who teach lower-division courses, which comprise the selection of materials, training of student instructors, and the creation of syllabuses, assignments, and assessments.
Fulfill assignments in accordance with department and university needs.
