Adjunct Professor - DBA - Marymount University

Keypath Education is supporting Marymount University in the search for well-qualified Adjunct Professors for the Fall 2023 term.

The School of Business of the College of Business, Innovation, Leadership, and Technology (BILT) at Marymount University invites applications from business professionals qualified to assist in teaching a doctoral level course in the University’s Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) in Business Intelligence program.

The School of Business is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and is in the candidacy phase of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB) accreditation with the strategic support of Marymount’s Board of Trustees.

Job Description

• Collaborate with DBA faculty to ensure course and program-level quality.
• Teach designated courses online by:
• attending/completing faculty orientation
• keeping teaching materials current
• interacting with students in discussions and activities
• giving timely assignment feedback and maintaining grades
• monitoring student performance
• facilitating regular synchronous class meetings.
• Maintain appropriate office hours and support students in their educational journey and in their career progression.
• Work with the School of Business Director to identify new subjects in this fast-changing field in business and identify yourself or other guest speakers and potential adjuncts to deliver this material.

Qualifications

• Earned PhD in a business-related field or DBA required
• Record of leadership and professional service in management
• 5 years of senior managerial experience with business interacting with the government or within the government interacting with business
• 2 years of graduate-level experience teaching research methods in higher education face-to-face and/or online, preferably at the doctoral level.
• Evidence of producing high quality research with a scholarly academic focus with at least 2 publications in peer-reviewed journals in a 5-year period.
