What to Expect as Pilot Services on Demand (PSOD) Team Member:
Pilot has a contract job division called Pilot Services on Demand (PSOD) which primarily serves daily local and low claim volume events. Using the PSOD app you can check in and check out letting us know your availability to receive assignments and set the radius willing to drive from home or current location.
PSOD pay is 1099 and based on a per client approved fee schedule (per assignment) paid weekly. As a contract worker, accept or reject any assignment
The program is split into two primary roles AOD & IOD:
ADJUSTER ON DEMAND (AOD) - Experienced Licensed Property Adjusters
Duties go beyond the inspection and assessment of damages for catastrophic and non-catastrophic insurance losses. The scope of work may include policy interpretation, scoping the loss, writing the damage estimate, and communicating coverage determination with the insured. Service time expected is 3 days. Claims will be estimated using Xactimate. Participants are also eligible to receive inspection assignments.
INSPECTOR ON DEMAND (IOD) - Property Roof Inspectors
Responsibility includes assisting a desk adjuster with the inspection and assessment of damages for catastrophic and non-catastrophic insurance losses. Scope of work may include inspecting damages, taking photographs, getting measurements and gathering facts to communicate with adjusters through a smart device. Inspectors document many steps in the process on a local device without needing access to client claim management systems. Not eligible to receive licensed adjuster claim assignments.
Qualifications:
ADJUSTER ON DEMAND (AOD) - Experienced Licensed Property Adjusters
Must have at least 2 years’ experience handling catastrophic property claims or 1 year of experience handling daily claims. This position may require you to access and assess damage to a roof
INSPECTOR ON DEMAND (IOD) - Property Roof Inspectors
This position requires you to have a 28-foot ladder and be prepared, capable, and comfortable to access and inspect any roof (including steep roofs) that you may encounter as part of the inspection. It may also involve interior and exterior inspections and communicating via an app downloaded to a smart phone with an inside claims professional. You must have reliable transportation and the ability to carry your equipment and ladder. Must have great customer service skills and appropriate work attire is required.
