About this role

We are seeking a reliable and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Head of Enterprise Services/Chief Security Officer and the Chief Information Security Officer. As an Administrative Assistant, you will undertake various tasks to assist in daily office activities, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to the overall success of the BlackRock. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general administrative duties such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing correspondence.
  • Maintain and organize files, records, and documents both in electronic and physical formats.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for team members.
  • Prepare agendas, take meeting minutes, and distribute relevant materials as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents as needed.
  • Greet and assist visitors, clients, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external partners to facilitate communication and collaboration.
  • Assist in the coordination of special projects, events, and conferences.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support as needed and assist in ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as an Administrative Assistant or similar role.
  • Proficient in using office software and equipment, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing administrative tasks.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in taking initiative to improve processes and streamline operations.
  • High level of professionalism and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $70,000 – $110,000 which is the equivalent of $33.65 – $52.88 per hour. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 3 days in the office each week, with the flexibility to work from home up to 2 days a week; some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities. Beginning in September, all employees will shift to at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.
