Administrative Internship

The Administrative Intern will provide complex administrative support to the senior management of the University of Utah Campus Store. They will work directly with the members of senior leadership on a variety of short-term strategic and operational projects to improve the University Campus Store. They will be responsible providing personnel support for all Campus Store staff under the direction of the Employee Development Manager. The incumbent will partner with various members of the Campus Store senior management team and provide various administrative support to the projects within their divisions.

Successful candidates have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within their field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Is dedicated to training and sharing knowledge with colleagues. Understands and supports the mission of the University and the Campus Store.

Responsibilities
Onboarding of new staff including New Hire Orientation and database management.
Maintaining training database for Campus Store.
Prepares presentations and reports on various projects for senior management.
Maintains personnel files for all current staff members.
Collects, organizes and analyzes data for specialized reports.
Back-up payroll reporter for the Campus Store.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be a current University of Utah Student.

Candidates will be expected to understand the following systems: Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.

Preferences
The ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work independently when necessary.
Highly motivated with consistent work ethic.
Effective communication in both written and verbal.
Strong organizational skills.
Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Preference will be given to students with related technical coursework and/or professional experience.
