Admissions Outreach Assistant

Answer in-depth questions regarding recruitment events and locations, the application process, and general university facts (majors, housing, student life, etc.)

Possess a positive attitude about the NKU experience and college in general.

Be personable and engaging with prospective students and their parents – be willing to share personal NKU experiences to better relate to prospective students.

Follow up with student requests for phone numbers, mailed information, etc., or pass information on to supervisor.

Possess a pleasant speaking voice and problem-solving capabilities and the ability to interpret different database applications for admissions reports.

Outreach Assistants will participate in tour training and provide tours on an as needed basis.

Outreach Assistants assist in the general functioning of the Admissions office with a primary emphasis on representing the university to prospective students and their families through phone conversations.

Assistants also complete many administrative tasks such as data entry and folder creation, run errands, provide campus tours, and other duties as assigned to free up Admissions Counselors to counsel students more directly.

Flexible schedule, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, able to work with confidential material, positive work ethic, ability to communicate well, dependability a MUST.
