Media and Identity Specialist - Communication Specialist

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute a thorough media strategy that aligns with the organization’s vision, mission, and goals, aiming to promote a favorable public image.
  • Plan and implement promotional campaigns, events, and initiatives designed to boost brand visibility and effectively engage target audiences.
  • Build and nurture relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers, acting as the primary contact for press inquiries and media requests.
  • Coordinate the drafting and distribution of press releases, statements, and other media materials that convey the organization’s key initiatives and accomplishments.
  • Oversee the production and distribution of high-quality digital content, marketing materials, and internal communications that reflect the brand identity and messaging strategies.
  • Work in collaboration with internal departments to ensure messaging and branding consistency across all communication platforms.
  • Track media coverage and analyze public sentiment to gauge audience perceptions and shape communication strategies.
  • Regularly provide insights and recommendations to senior management regarding communication trends, public perception, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage the organization’s online presence, encompassing social media channels and the corporate website, to ensure content is engaging, relevant, and aligned with branding goals.
  • Use digital metrics and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of online campaigns and refine strategies as needed.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on media relations, crisis communication, and brand identity to enhance the organization’s proficiency in effective media engagement.
  • Offer guidance on best practices for brand storytelling and communication across various departments.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging communication technologies, and best practices to capitalize on new opportunities for brand storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Adopt innovative communication techniques to elevate the organization’s public image and strengthen messaging impact.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a similar discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in media relations, public relations, or corporate communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage media strategies, public relations campaigns, and social media interaction.
  • Robust experience in content development and brand identity management.
