Reporting to: Finance Director
What you’ll do at Adthena….
As Finance Manager, you will lead a team of qualified and non-qualified accountants, overseeing all aspects of finance processes for Adthena Group. You will own day-to-day operations, ensure the integrity of Adthena’s reporting, compliance and seek continuous improvement in our processes and controls.
You will manage and mentor two direct reports: a fully qualified accountant as well as a junior member of the team who has recently embarked on his ACCA journey.
Main Responsibilities and Activities:
With the support of your team, oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Maintain, monitor and continuously identify improvements in financial controls to mitigate risks and ensure the integrity of Adthena’s financial records
Oversee internal finance systems and processes, identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies.
Oversee tax compliance in all key regions in which Adthena operates (UK, US, Australia), including corporate taxes, ensuring compliance with Adthena’s transfer pricing policies, VAT/sales taxes, employee benefits and employment related securities filings.
Run engagements with external accounting and tax advisors in all core Adthena’s regions.
Manage annual Adthena Group audit, liaising with external auditors addressing any queries and ensuring timely completion.
Managing and mentoring the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
Report on and engage with stakeholders on their budgets and budget compliance.
Manage ad-hoc projects as required.
Minimum requirements for the Role:
Fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and US/UK tax compliance
Minimum of 5 years experience in similar finance roles
Experience managing a team
Desired Experience for the Role:
Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment
Experience in a SaaS / Technology start-up or similar environment
Knowledge and understanding of core SaaS KPIs
Strong spreadsheet skills
Xero accounting software
