Precision Ag Specialist - Indiana

Advanced Agrilytics is seeking a Precision Ag Specialist (PAS) to join our Indiana Grower Direct team! The PAS role is responsible for implementing and supporting advanced agricultural technologies that improve farm efficiency, productivity, and sustainability. They work closely with farmers, agronomists, and other stakeholders to gather, analyze, and apply data-driven insights to 

optimize agricultural practices. The PAS will provide an opportunity for the individual to learn and develop into other roles within the company. 

 

Advanced Agrilytics is an agronomy services company focused on unlocking the potential of every acre through direct-to-farm agronomic guidance, unbiased spatial research and sub-acre environment understanding, delivering on the promise of precision agriculture.

How you will help us grow:

Consultation & Support:

• Collaborate with agricultural teams to develop tailored precision farming strategies based on data driven insights

• Advise clients on the most effective use of precision farming techniques to enhance crop yields, reduce input costs, and minimize environmental impact

• Provide technical support and training to farmers and agronomists on the use of precision agriculture tools


Soil Sampling:

• Collaborate with soil sample team and agronomists to set soil sample points on grower fields and manage sample planning to ensure samples are pulled in a timely manner

• Pull soil samples in spring and/or fall and work with sample results to ensure completeness of data in our system


Data Management:

• Assist Precision Agronomist(s) in data collection and management utilizing monitor equipment and cloud systems

• Assist Precision Agronomist(s) with prescription writing and quality control, as well as delivery and upload for growers


Grower Sales & Relationship Building:

• Ride-along with Precision Agronomist(s) visiting and managing current growers within the program

• Participate in prospecting calls with local team


Agronomic Observations:

• Partner with Precision Agronomist(s) to perform crop scouting throughout the growing season, providing feedback and findings 

• Manage scouting activities weekly and follow-up on critical issues with both Precision Agronomist(s) and growers


Agronomics & CCA Training:

• Participate in structured agronomic training with other Precision Ag Specialists, Precision Agronomists, and Regional Sales Leads 

• Dedicate time to independent agronomic study and preparation for CCA certification testing


Research:

• Assist in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of research trials with Ag Ingenuity Partners, the research division of Advanced Agrilytics

• Collect and process plant samples while managing and uploading data/findings in a timely manner, according to research protocol(s)


Personal Development:

• Dedicate time to professional growth and continuous learning

• Explore other areas of the company to gain an understanding of Advanced Agrilytics and opportunities for career growth


Experience you bring:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred

• 0-2 years experience in agronomy related field

• Must be willing maintain or obtain a Certified Crop Advisor License within one (1) year of employment 

• On farm experience preferred
