Role Overview:

As a Senior Digital Analytics & Tracking Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and optimization of digital tracking solutions across websites and mobile applications. Your expertise will ensure accurate data collection, allowing teams to make informed, data-driven decisions. You will collaborate with developers, marketers, and stakeholders to troubleshoot tracking issues, analyze user behavior, and generate actionable insights through advanced reporting. Additionally, you will play a key role in improving existing tracking processes, mentoring junior team members, and driving innovation in digital analytics and measurement solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup and management of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (GTM) for client websites and mobile applications.
  • Define and implement tracking requirements, goals, events, custom dimensions, and enhanced eCommerce tracking.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and marketers, to optimize tracking systems and implement data layers, JavaScript code, and custom tracking solutions.
  • Manage and troubleshoot tracking for marketing platforms such as Google Ads Conversion Tracking, Meta Pixel, and Conversions API, resolving data discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.
  • Conduct audits of existing tracking setups to maintain data reliability and optimize user behavior analysis on websites and apps.
  • Create and present data-driven insights through detailed reports and dashboards using BigQuery, Looker Studio, and other BI tools.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for tracking and measurement projects, guiding both internal teams and external collaborators.
  • Stay updated on the latest digital analytics trends, including AppsFlyer, Zapier, and HubSpot, to ensure continuous improvement and scalability of tracking processes.

Senior Responsibilities

  • Mentor junior specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Ensure high standards in all aspects of tracking and data analysis while aligning efforts with broader business goals.
  • Implement ongoing improvements in tracking processes to ensure scalability and efficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in web analytics and tracking implementation, preferably with a senior or lead role.
  • Expert knowledge of Google Tech Stack (Tag Manager, Analytics) and a strong understanding of web analytics platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of business intelligence tools like Looker, PowerBI, and data warehouse technologies such as BigQuery.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.
  • Strong technical skills with JavaScript, HTML, and tag management systems.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and solve complex tracking challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with internal teams and clients.
