Job Description

AECOM is seeking an experienced Air Permitting Specialist that will be part of our Air Quality Practice within AECOM's Environment Business Line. This hybrid role can be based in any of our major Western U.S States. 

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and be responsible for the following:

  • Managing, executing, and providing technical expertise on air permitting and compliance projects including PSD and Title V permitting, as well as emissions control and compliance programs.
  • Managing and executing projects for a variety of oil & gas and chemical & industrial clients involving air quality-related environmental compliance services including air permitting, emissions calculations, performing studies and analyses, regulatory research, and compiling and writing reports and other documents
  • Leading and mentoring project staff for air permitting activities for oil & gas and chemical & industrial clients.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental or related field.
  • 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in air quality permitting, including PSD and Title V as well as emissions control and compliance programs.
  • Valid U.S Driver's license is required for this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of relevant experience in air quality permitting.
  • Prior experience in the consulting industry.
  • Project management experience to include developing proposals/cost estimates, managing clients, projects, and project teams; coordinating resources and managing subcontractors; etc.
  • Background in refining, chemical production, and/or oil & gas air permitting.
