An opportunity has arisen to join our ANZ Leadership team, we are looking for an experienced Regional Business Line Director, Buildings and Places to be based in Sydney, with an Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) coverage, reporting to our Chief Executive Officer.

Our global portfolio of work comprises the design of iconic and award-winning buildings and landscapes. Our extensive expertise covers urbanism and planning, architecture, building and systems engineering, and cost, project and construction management.

Together with our clients, we are working to evolve and elevate the built environment across sectors including social infrastructure, transit, technology and logistics, and commercial and corporate real estate. Whether the development is public or private sector, a hospital, university campus, commercial or mixed use, our goal is the same, to help plan, design and build cost effective, high performance facilities.

Job Description

We’re looking for an engaging and collaborative leader to drive strategic growth in our Buildings and Places business line. Based in Sydney, this role will lead strategic planning, market engagement and work winning. Working alongside our ANZ Regional Managing Directors, you will lead our regional teams in ensuring our clients enjoy a consistent and high-quality experience.

The responsibilities for the Regional Business Line Director, ANZ include;

  • Driving strategic growth in the ANZ Region through the development and execution of our global strategy for the buildings and places market 
  • Leading the ANZ Region in developing long-term client relationships through the implementation of Client Account Management Plans (CAMs) for key clients within the ANZ Region
  • Delivering pipeline growth and industry leading capture rates for the buildings and places sectors
  • Ensuring successful capture management strategies are in place on all our large and strategic pursuits
  • Growing new services across ANZ to address our markets’ current and future needs
  • Coordination with other ANZ Regional Business Line Leaders and Global Buildings and Places Business Line Leaders to share best practices and support global growth
  • Change Management: Lead and support teams through organisational changes, inspiring resilience and confidence

Qualifications

What are we looking for in a Regional Business Line Director?

  • > 15 years successful track record in a leadership position, growing a Buildings and Places business
  • Strategic thinking: you should possess exceptional strategic thinking abilities to identify new business opportunities, analyse market trends, and develop innovative strategies to drive growth and achieve business success
  • Consultative and able to build consensus amongst diverse stakeholders, whilst being prepared to lead through influence and make complex decisions
  • Business acumen: a deep understanding of business principles, financial management, and market dynamics is important. You should be able to make informed decisions based on data analysis, market research, and industry trends.
  • Demonstrated business development and work winning skills
  • Visionary leadership: develop and communicate a compelling vision, inspiring teams to share a common goal and work towards it with enthusiasm
  • Strategic thinking: ability to think critically, analyse complex problems, and develop innovative solutions while considering the bigger picture
  • Flexibility and adaptability: capacity to navigate ambiguity and embrace change, while inspiring others to do the same
  • Resilience: ability to remain composed and focused in high-pressure situations, inspiring confidence and perseverance
  • Ability to operate at an executive level with internal and external stakeholders
