Electrician Trainee

Job Title: Electrician Trainee - must have at least 2 years commercial experience!Job DescriptionWe are hiring 4 Carded Electrical Trainees for a La Jolla Commercial Tenant Improvement (TI) project. As an Electrician Trainee, you will assist Journeyman Electricians with installing high-end lighting systems while ensuring compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes.Responsibilities• Assist with the installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of commercial lighting systems.• Use industry-related hand tools and power tools.• Assist with measuring, cutting, bending, threading, pulling, and installing wire and electrical cable systems, conduit systems, and other wire raceway systems.• Work with an Electrician to splice and terminate wires at junction points.• Perform cleanup duties, gather and transport materials to the construction site.• Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy when interacting with colleagues, customers, and vendors.Essential Skills• Currently an Electrician Trainee holding an active card or Journeymans card• Knowledge of electrical theory, basic circuits, branch circuits, and specialty systems.• Knowledge of tools and equipment and how to safely use them.Additional Skills & Qualifications• 2-4 years of Electrical Experience on a commercial level.• Scissor lift certification preferred.• OSHA 10/30 Card preferred.Why Work Here?Working with us offers a great opportunity to grow your skills with full training provided. This commercial tenant improvement project is located in Vista, CA. You will work with a large team of Journeyman Electricians (JMs) and Electrician Trainees (ETs). The role requires the ability to lift 50lbs, perform ladder climbing, wire pulling, and conduit bending, and maintain a standing position for long periods while performing repetitive actions.
