Planning Manager

This role can be based in either the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, or Remote

As the Planning Manager for the operations team, you’ll pioneer the development, implementation, and management of our inventory planning processes.

What You'll Do 

  • Manage Aescape's order management to preserve optimal inventory health, containing sales operations planning, efficient first-mid-last mile allocation, and install backlog prioritization.

  • Review open orders with the sales team regularly to precisely determine material requirements and review install performance, ensuring a transparent fulfillment model for efficient sales order management.

  • Uphold a customer-centric focus by consistently prioritizing customer needs and expectations in every aspect of the role, adhering to the principle that the customer is always first.

  • Help balance the total company's supply and demand structure by considering various factors such as forecast error, backlog, safety and spare part stock, capacity, estimated ship windows (ESW), distribution deviation, inventory ownership, and other inventory planning KPIs .

  • Support the comprehensive planning process to enhance the availability of materials, subassemblies, and finished goods. This includes optimizing ESW’s, conducting proper distribution network modeling, and formulating an inventory position strategy, all from a first-mid-last mile perspective.

  • Collaborate with the installation team and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to enhance the delivery and installation of products, including subassemblies and spare parts.

  • Act as a key stakeholder for Aescape's ERP implementation, ensuring smooth communication with 3PL providers and promptly addressing any supply shortages during ERP administration.

  • Lead the development of processes, systems, and tools required for efficient planning, including the enhancement of the ERP system, in the realm of process and system development.

  • Provide clear and consistent recommendations to the head of planning on how to improve end-to-end supply chain planning and identify opportunities for total cost reduction .

What You’ll Bring

  • BS in business, supply chain, industrial engineering, or other related technical degree.

  • 6+ years of inventory, production, supply, demand, and/or sales order planning in hardware manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with NPI planning at turnkey and non-turnkey levels.

  • Strong ERP system implementation knowledge.

  • Experience in full product life cycle and development build milestones.

  • Experience with complex hardware and assembly through global multi-tier supply chain.

  • Ability to adjust priorities effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills—both verbal and written.

  • Eye for detail, organization, and time management skills.

  • Ability to build key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers.

  • Solid understanding of entire end-to-end supply chain from manufacturer -> customer.

  • Ability to adjust priorities effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to travel up to 5%.

Nice-to-have, but Not Required 

  • MS or MBA in supply chain management or industrial engineering.

  • APICS CPIM certification.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

  • Strong experience in NetSuite Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

  • Excel Solver and data modeling capabilities.

  • Arena experience.
