Job Description

We are looking for a DIRECTOR, PROJECT CONTROLS to work together with the Project and Construction Management Unit in the Process Industries Division Finland.

As Director, Project Controls, your main responsibilities are to

  • lead the Project Controls Department which includes the following teams and competences:
    1. Cost Management
    2. Schedule Management
    3. Document Management
  • develop and manage Project Controls function within Process Industries Finland
  • act in a key role in developing our EPCM practices and project management tools, for both internal and external tools
  • maintain and develop the contract management, tool management and partnership practices/management of Project Controls
  • ensure right competences in short and long term in Project Controls team
  • act as a line manager for the Project Controls team and the team leaders of the department and further-develop the leadership in the department
  • support sales and proposal preparation
  • collaborate and co-operate globally, both internally and externally
  • actively strengthen co-operation with our subconsultants and partners.

Your main location will be AFRY head office in Vantaa.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you need to have:

  • Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills and ability to engage people in change/development initiatives
  • Vision and understanding of project controls tools including cost, schedule and document management
  • Understanding of contract and subconsultant management
  • Knowledge of the different disciplines and functions in engineering and/or EPCM environment; Understanding of multidisciplinary work requirements
  • Understanding of project and document management systems
  • Interest towards digitalization, AI and new digital development opportunities in general
  • Fluent Finnish and English skills.
