SUMMARYWe are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced cybersecurity technical Director to lead and manage our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise across multiple cyber disciplines. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and overseeing cybersecurity strategies to safeguard our nation’s assets and operations.
The ideal Director is a highly technical, hands-on position with advanced skillsets in cybersecurity. They thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy leading a diverse pool of cybersecurity professionals, and have a passion for helping customers maintain and mature their security posture. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage a diverse portfolio of homeland security and transportation programs.
· Support bid, proposal and sales efforts as needed.
· Lead and manage cybersecurity operations, including incident response, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence.
· Develop and execute comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with business objectives.
· Oversee and direct the cybersecurity team, ensuring that key personnel are appropriately trained, motivated, and efficient.
· Drive continuous improvement in cybersecurity processes, technologies, and policies.
· Manage cybersecurity risk assessments and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
· Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to align cybersecurity initiatives with broader business goals.
· Provide financial management and forecasting for the cybersecurity operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost optimization.
· Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for the cybersecurity program and report on operational status and effectiveness.
· Conduct strategic planning for future cybersecurity needs and ensure operational readiness.
· Maintain knowledge of emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements.

· Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
· Proven experience in multiple cyber disciplines including incident response, network security, and threat intelligence.
· Expertise in business operations, financial management, and forecasting for technical projects.
· Education: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field).
· Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS) and industry best practices.
· Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Certifications: SANS certifications preferred
Preferred Skills
· Experience with federal or defense contracting environments.
· Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA is highly desirable.
· Experience with technical cyber programs.
