SUMMARY:
The Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) is responsible for the oversight of all Defense Information systems Agency (DISA) tests and evaluation within DISA. The mission of the JITC labs at Fort Meade is to enable the successful transition of joint acquisition Information Technology (IT) systems from developmental testing to fielding through early and continuous involvement in the program life cycle. JITC manages, as part of the Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB), a premier state of the art Information Technology (IT) integration lab at Fort Meade. The objective of this task is to provide the technical and operational support activities assistance necessary to maintain the infrastructure and suites of equipment in the JITC labs at Ft. Meade, MD.
The selected candidate will conduct ACAS vulnerability scanning and analysis and review audit logs. In addition, the candidate will work with SAs, ISSOs and ISSMs to determine mitigation strategies and to implement STIGs.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform weekly and ad hoc scans on various devices for both NIPR and SIPR networks.
· Review weekly and monthly ACAS scan reports.
· Upload scan results into ACAS Security Center.
· Perform Security Center updates as required.
· Work with SAs, ISSOs, and ISSMs on finding mitigation.
· Diagnose and resolved ACAS vulnerability scanning credential failures, false positives, scanning issues.
· Provide timely feedback to the team, customers on identified problems, associated mission effects, and successful defensive strategies.
· Conduct vulnerability analysis on common vulnerability exploits (CVEs) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management alerts.
· Review audit logs, conduct hands-on security testing.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Certifications
· Must be able to obtain ACAS Certification at DISA.
Education, Background, and Years of Experience
· 5 years’ experience using ACAS.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills
· Familiar with some Windows administration.
· Familiar with Nessus.
· Familiar with the STIG process.
· Familiar with virtual environments (i.e. VMware, cloud computing, etc.)
· Must possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, flexible team player
· Must have written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Skills
· Understanding basis Linx and Windows Administration
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions
· 3 days on site working with contractors and Government staff
Strength Demands
· Sedentary – 10 lbs. Maximum lifting, occasional lift/carry of small articles. Some occasional walking or standing may be required. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
