Job Description

We’re looking for an Occupancy Specialist/Resident Resolutions Coordinator to work at our Foxchase Apartment Homes located in Alexandria, VA. Take look at the community here: https://www.foxchaseofalexandriaapts.com/

This position is located in an affordable community that is covered by government regulations.

A bit more about what you’ll do…

  • Making appointments, receiving and screening visitors and telephone calls using a telephone script.
  • Maintaining and controlling confidential files and records.
  • Preparing leases for occupancy and making initial computation of rents and monthly payments according to authority policy.
  • Reviewing applications and interviews applicants for housing.
  • Maintains the waiting list of applicants for housing and determines applicant eligibility.
  • Maintaining continuing compliance and resident relations, upholding all fair housing principles, and applying the unique Program rules correctly including the student, unit transfer, unit vacancy and available unit rules.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Generally has specific experience in the regulatory occupancy field.
  • Certified Occupancy Specialist preferred, though not required
  • Excellent customer service skills to address current and future resident needs.
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work during our office hours (hours may vary based on community and season).
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Benefits

  • Expected base pay rate of $28.00 - $30.00 per hour. You will be provided a pay rate that is in line with your skills and experience as they relate to the requirements of the job.
  • Paid time off including vacation, sick time, and 11 holidays.

What You Need to Know

Application Deadline: The initial deadline for applications is 03/16/2025. Applications submitted after this date may still be considered on a rolling basis until the position/program is filled. We encourage all interested candidates to apply as early as possible. If a final decision has not been made by the initial deadline, subsequent applications will be reviewed as they are received.

Candidates extended an offer will be required to undergo pre-employment screening that includes checking references, a four-panel drug screening that excludes marijuana testing, employment verification & criminal background check.
