The Difference You will Make:

In this role, you project manage all localization efforts to support the international launch of Airbnb brand campaigns, ensuring that Airbnb creative content is accurately translated/transcreated and culturally adapted for our international markets. 

Your work is carried out in close partnership with the Lead Localization PM who manages all aspects of Airbnb brand campaigns end-to-end. You will also work closely with Marketing and Creative teams, amongst others.

A Typical Day: 

  • You project manage the localization of all assets and content for the projects in your portfolio, including website copy, product descriptions, marketing materials, and advertisements.
  • You project manage the timely and accurate localization of all requested assets in close collaboration with copywriters, translators and internal stakeholders to ensure that translations/transcreations are accurate and culturally appropriate for each market.
  • You develop project plans and timelines for localization projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • You educate stakeholders on localization best practices and service offerings.
  • You offer your expertise to help launching teams recognize and integrate international requirements from the start.
  • You behave like an owner and entrepreneur. You are not just a point of contact that people reach out to, you are driving, you are propositive and action oriented. 
  • You ensure pertinent information is proactively communicated and understood throughout the global team.
    • You own the creation and management of high level Localization project & program timelines.
    • You provide up-to-date visibility into large projects, and progress against our team goals.
  • You are an operational excellence champion:
    • You present monthly retrospectives and learnings.
    • You support the selection and interviewing of new copywriters and creative reviewers.
    • You educate partners on processes and best practices.

Your Expertise:

  • 5+ years in Localization Project Management, helping product and marketing teams to successfully launch internationally. 
  • The ideal candidate has experience at the Client side and the Agency side. 
  • Track record of managing and releasing complex and high-quality globalized products and marketing campaigns in partnership with core product teams, beyond just as a content translation service manager.
  • Knowledge of the localization process and what it takes to create product features and campaigns that can be recognized as truly local experiences by our Hosts and Guests.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Track record of being a self-starter, self-motivated and outcome-oriented individual who seeks ownership and accountability.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a fluid organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Concise, fact-based and informative. Able to convey complex information simply.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about excellence and attention to detail.
  • Thrives in a highly collaborative environment. 
  • We are fully remote, but we have frequent and dynamic Slack communications and we meet on Zoom. If you are a camera-on type of person as your first choice, you will thrive in this environment.
  • Experience with localization tools and technologies is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and at least one additional EMEA language preferable

The role can be located in Ireland, the United Kingdom or France.

The work can be executed remotely, or hybrid if an Airbnb office is available nearby

The role will require availability to travel for in-person meetings.
