Airbnb was born in 2007 when two Hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 4 million Hosts who have welcomed more than 1 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, Hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.
The Community You Will Join:
In a world where our digital presence and identity is as important as our physical presence, we believe that a fundamental part of earning user trust is by ensuring that we protect our users’ human right to privacy on our platform. The Privacy team is responsible for delivering a world class privacy program, for hosting a trusted and respected privacy experience for the Airbnb community, and for maintaining compliance with all applicable privacy and data protection laws.
To deliver on this work, we need world-class analytics/data expertise. The Trust Experience Analytics team enables, facilitates, and streamlines data-driven decision making across privacy. The team is committed to delivering meaningful impact through a culture of problem-solving, guided by data and research. We create the resulting feedback and insights-to-action for the Privacy team.
The Difference You Will Make:
You will directly support the Privacy team at Airbnb, and partner closely with teams across the business in your work. Your primary focus will be to develop data views and insights that promote experiential improvements around the processes and customer journeys as they relate to privacy. Working with your peers as well as other stakeholder teams, you will both develop and support the creation of data insights through cross-functional partnerships. You will also recommend, develop and maintain privacy-focused OKRs and KPIs, as well as build an understanding of the impact of various improvements on an established set of privacy metrics. Day to day activities will include: automating and structuring manual processes, developing experience-based data stories through ongoing views and dashboards, tracking operational opportunities as surfaced by top driver analysis, and deeper dive/long-term data projects that increase the experiential understanding of specific stakeholders or teams. In addition, you will be involved in the technical details of the various data systems we build, and will have the opportunity to collaborate with a strong team of engineers, product managers, designers and operations agents to improve targeted experiences through data analysis and data-driven approaches.
