Job Role:
The Line Maintenance Engineer will carry out and supervise technical handling, inspections, maintenance, testing and checks according to the rules and procedures in order to release the aircraft to service.
Key Responsibilities
1) Inspections
To perform or supervise technical handling of an aircraft, within the scheduled ground time, according to current carriers instructions.
Activities:
- Performs the checklist according to aircraft type and carriers instructions.
- Inspects the duties performed
- Signs the AML/CML + BOW for maintenance release
2) Analyzing defects and complaints
Activities:
- Monitors VHF and telex information from the crew and/or Maintenance Control Center
- Contact flight crew directly after arrival for debriefing
- Checks logbooks for open items
- Analyzes defects and complaints
- Decides if defects and complaints can be rectified immediately
- Informs and consults home base and Maintenance Manager or Duty Engineer/Service Manager/Operations/Crew upon actions to be taken
3) Repair, technical handling and modifications
To perform or supervise maintenance and repairs of the aircraft.
Activities:
- Ensures availability of work instructions (checklist)
- Ensures correct and adequate stock control (spare parts and materials) and maintenance of ground equipment (if applicable), in accordance with company procedures
- Plans and organizes the repair process and deploys Mechanics
- Performs or supervises repairs and technical handling
- Communicates with home base and Service Manager/Operations/Crew about the progress of the repair or the modification process.
- Inspects the repairs and modifications
4) Administration
Activities:
- Performs all administration related to the technical handling of the carrier, according to instructions and procedures by the carrier
5) Supervision of mechanics
Activities:
- Checks if duties are performed under safe conditions
- Coaches(Certifying) Mechanics
Requirements:
- Preferably hold an EASA Part 66 license, or the FAA A&P, on one or more of the below aircraft types, or have more than 5 years of commercial aviation experience with an EASA Part 147 level 3 base and line maintenance training on one or more of the following types - Airbus 330, Airbus A340, AirbusA350, Boeing747, Boeing 777, Boeing 787
- We can accecpt the FAA A&P if you have 5 years experiance and pass our engineers test.
- Proficient in English (Reading, writing, speaking)
- Has sufficient knowledge about specific operator- and type- procedures including customer demands
- Position is full time (40hrs per week), paid overtime, includes occasional travel (10%) as well as occasional long duration trainings outside of Station.
- Must be willing to work day, evening and night shifts, weekends and holidays
