MANATORY REQUIREMENTS:

· Prior military training and experience required (Completion from a formal military fuels school, Army 92 Foxtrot, USAF 2F0X1, Navy ABF, Marines 1391).

· Must possess or obtain a valid North Carolina driver’s license. CDL not required.

· Must be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

· Hot refuels rotary wing aircraft.

· Cold refuel/defuels rotary and fixed wing aircraft.

· Issues bulk fuel to various LBS and Army vehicles.

· Receives fuel via commercial tank truck/cars.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

· Inspects, maintains, and operates fuel hydrant/storage fixed facilities and mobile equipment.

· Receives, stores and issues, petroleum fuels products.

· Performs quality analysis on petroleum products.

· Accurately prepares receipt, inventory, and issue documents.

· Operates refueling equipment to dispense fuel to aircraft and ground support equipment.

· Isolates off specification fuel and takes appropriate actions to correct quality problems.

· Ensures compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.

· Performs operator checks and routine maintenance on facilities and vehicles.

· Maintains inspections and maintenance records for facilities and vehicles.

· Documents and reports facility deficiencies to appropriate maintenance activity.

· Monitors fuel inventory levels to ensure adequate stocks are on hand to support the mission.

· Maintains laboratory testing equipment.

· Collects fuel samples from bulk storage tanks, mobile and fixed equipment.

· Ensures effective product segregation and recovery program is implemented

· Maintains facilities, grass cutting and general housekeeping duties, painting as required on Government and company owned facilities.

· Performs other related work as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Works both indoors and outdoors with exposure to extreme weather conditions, dust, and pollen; subject to constant and extreme noise, strong odors, fumes, poor lighting and a variety of mechanical, electrical, chemical, and other safety hazards associated with or working around aircraft, vehicles, equipment, and fuel.

· Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, walking, climbing, and reaching to both ground level and overhead.

· Lifts, carries, pushes and pulls; holds and grips objects.

· Responds to audio transmitted information and/or alarms and distinguishes colors as required for such things as fuel coding and control tower light gun.

· May stand for long periods of time and run during emergency response actions.
