The Airwallex SDR Program

As a Sales Development Representative, you'll play a critical role in driving our future success. You'll be responsible for:

-Identifying and qualifying leads through various channels, including phone, email, and social media.

-Building relationships with potential customers and understanding their needs and pain points.

-Presenting our innovative solutions and crafting compelling value propositions.

-Qualifying opportunities and scheduling appointments for our Account Executives.

-Owning the full sales cycle of our inbound sales channels to learn about our sales process, onboarding clients, and learning about the verticals and companies we serve.

We're committed to providing our SDRs with the training and support they need to succeed, because we believe our SDR’s are AE’s in training. Plan to work remotely as you start this role in Austin, switching to 2 days in office when we obtain a space in the market.

  • Prospecting like a pro: We'll teach you how to strategically engage with your prospects through multiple channels (calling, emailing, social media, etc.). Quality over quantity.

  • Qualifying like a detective: You'll learn to separate the gold from the pyrite, ensuring your time is maximized on qualified leads.

  • Building relationships like a charmer: Master the art of rapport and trust-building, so you can have engaging conversations with every prospect. 

Becoming a Product Guru:

  • Product knowledge that blows minds: We'll make you an expert on our products and services, so you can answer any question with confidence.

  • Industry insights that impress: We'll equip you with the knowledge of the latest trends and competitor landscape, making you a valuable asset to our team and our customers. 

  • Crafting value propositions that convert: Learn to articulate the benefits of our products and be a true consultant to customers, and build fundamental sales confidence skills!

  • Experienced AEs as your mentors: Get guidance and feedback from seasoned sales professionals who have been in your shoes.

  • Coaching that helps you unlock your potential: We'll help you identify your strengths and weaknesses, so you can constantly improve your game.

You Will Make Impact By:

  • Developing and executing plans for winning business with high growth organization in our SME & Growth verticals

  • Owning full sales cycle for inbound sales channel and driving GP uplift for our inbound customers

  • Working with AE’s to build outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities

  • Implementing a multithreaded outbound sales approach for prospecting leads, activating your networking and creating business connections

  • Being an expert in all aspects of the Airwallex platform, our customers, and our solutions

  • Clearly communicating the challenges in the cross-border payments industry and the value of Airwallex solutions to empower companies to go global

  • Helping to craft and redesign processes to ensure Airwallex can move quickly and succeed at scale

  • Being a team player and setting the standard for our entire SME sales function

What We Look For:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent work experience, 1-2 years of sales experience in Fintech or the payments space with a proven record of exceeding targets in outbound B2B sales

  • Experience or desire to be working in a fast paced environment, articularly in 0-1 mode (e.g., helped to launch and grow a new product or region)

  • Strategic thinker and able to drive 'partnership' conversations vs. 'sales' conversations - Solution Oriented

  • A FIO (Figure It Out) attitude and are willing to do whatever is necessary to achieve results

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • You have strong analytical skills and an organized way of thinking/working

  • Proficient in GSuite and sales tech tools like Salesforce, Outreach, Zoominfo, Linkedin Sales Navigator and more..
