Airwallex is seeking a well rounded B2B marketer to be an early marketing hire on the Americas marketing. You will work closely with commercial and strategy teammates, and will report directly to the Director of Revenue Strategy. To be successful in the role you'll need to be resourceful, creative go-getter capable of developing marketing strategy, implementing, testing and iterating to help us scale our marketing efforts. Airwallex US will hire in the SF Bay Area for this role; we work 2 days a week in our downtown San Francisco office.

What you'll be doing

  • Field and Event Marketing planning and execution - Ability to identify potential communities, events, co-marketing partner opportunities and lead from idea through to execution. 

  • Host and facilitate owned, partner and sponsored events and maximize event efficacy by collaborating closely with sales, partner and corporate affairs and global teams. Build community in key sectors, personas and industries, focusing on key metropolitan centers (SF, NYC) and broad North America.

  • Develop and execute partner marketing strategy for North America -  collaborating with the strategic and channel partner teams and partners to maximize full-funnel marketing via this key channel. Jointly with the commercial partnerships teams, identify, build and activate collaborations that drive relevant conversations in the marketplace. Work closely with wider marketing teams in North America and around the globe to deliver cross-functional marketing excellence for key partners.

  • Support our strategy and go-to-market teams to uplift key verticals and drive new business

  • Monitor, track, and report event effectiveness including goals, budgets, timelines, and post-event surveys

Additional requirements include:

  • 7-10 years experience in a marketing role with B2B emphasis

  • 5+ years in events marketing and partnership / user community development with In-depth event planning and event industry knowledge and proficiency in orchestrating a range of events, from trade shows to experiential marketing and customer happy hours 

  • Partner closely with Sales leadership on end-to-end strategy and execution of bespoke account based marketing programs

  • Experience in a fast-moving startup culture

  • Strong analytical skills to make data-driven decisions for commercial and operational performance

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to get your hands dirty

  • Confident communication skills for reporting to stakeholders at different levels, ability to influence people across the organization

  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-obsessed approach
