Professional Development:
-Must possess a valid and un revoked registered nurse license.
-Must be a graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing with a bachelor's degree.
-Requires at least one (1) full year of experience in an outpatient setting or general medical-surgical unit within the past two (2) years.
-License/Registration:
-Must possess and maintain a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
-Certifications required: ACLS, BLS.
-Day-to-Day Activities:
Patient Assessment: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients' health status, including vital signs, medical history, and overall health.
Care Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate dosages and timely delivery.
Patient Education: Provide education to patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and managing chronic conditions.
Coordination of Care: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists and follow-up appointments.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all care provided, changes in condition, and communication with patients and healthcare team members.
Patient Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring they receive high-quality care and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
Infection Control: Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections within the healthcare setting.
Emergency Response: Respond to medical emergencies and provide life-saving measures as needed, including CPR and other advanced life support techniques.
