Position Overview:
The Project Consultant will support ANA’s Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Senior Advisor, Chief of Staff, and Program Directors by providing operational, strategic, and technical expertise in Native American Affairs. This role involves leading project management efforts, developing project plans, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to achieve ANA’s mission-related objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation and progress reporting.
Assist in program design, recommending enhancements to align with organizational goals.
Monitor project stages, facilitate necessary actions, and set realistic targets and timeframes.
Conduct research and critical analyses on ANA mission-related issues, presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
Collaborate with ACF and Native American communities to ensure project alignment and effectiveness.
Provide technical expertise for program implementation and policy support.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Advanced project management skills and proficiency with project management software.
Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with a track record in content development.
Experience with data analysis and dissemination, program evaluation, and stakeholder collaboration.
Knowledge of issues relevant to Native American, Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific indigenous communities.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in a related field preferred.
Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience:
5-7 years of relevant project management experience.
Proven experience working with Native American communities and a history of successful project delivery.
Background in federal or tribal program management preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with database management and familiarity with federal systems
