Quality Engineer

Alarm.com is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their Connected Ecosystem team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for testing and ensuring quality standards within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Understanding the functionality and system architecture of the product under test
Writing test plans and updating test documentation
Manually testing features/products, tracking defects, and following them through to resolution
Writing high quality bug tickets
Analyzing logs and data to identify the root cause of issues
Setting up and maintaining test environments and equipment
Triaging urgent issues, prioritizing accordingly, and proposing resolutions
Configuring, maintaining, and monitoring automation setups
Assessing risk and determining subsequent test strategy
Interacting with various stakeholders and other engineering teams to ensure the highest level of quality for the product under test
Other duties as assigned

Education

B.A. or B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar engineering program
