Video Production Manager

A rapidly expanding, entrepreneurial technology company, Alarm.com, is seeking an ambitious, hard-working individual with proven experience in a team-oriented communications role to fill the Video Production Manager role. As part of the marketing team, this individual will lead the in-house video team, and partner with a diverse set of teams and individuals from around Alarm.com to support their video communications needs by executing project plans to deliver high quality video outputs.  

We are looking for a people manager and team player that is seeking a unique and challenging opportunity. This role will concept and oversee video projects from start to finish to create a range of marketing and sales assets for both internal and external use. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the in-house video team which consists of animators, producers and editors.
  • Work closely with Senior Manager of Creative Services to ensure that video projects align with the department’s overall brand and strategy.
  • Provide guidance and direction to ensure that video project goals and deliverables are clearly communicated and achieved.
  • Coordinate and execute video and photo shoots of varying sizes and complexities.
  • Assist team with editing and reviewing video projects as needed.
  • Stay up to date on video trends and evolve video strategies to advise staff on video and social media best practices as needed.
  • Develop and manage workflow of video content, including determining priorities and assigning projects to team members.
  • Create production budgets for specified projects and make recommendations for the annual operating budget.
  • Manage relationships with outside videographers, editors, production companies and other vendors as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or relevant work experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in video production and post-production.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of people management.
  • Bring creativity, problem solving and great communication skills to manage multiple dependent projects and work streams.
  • High attention to detail and precision with a sensitivity to corporate messaging, image and brand attributes. 
  • Experience in video production, including lighting, sound and video equipment. Experience with event livestreaming, Sony cameras and Blackmagic ATEM switchers a plus.  
  • Proficiency in Adobe software, specifically Premiere Pro and After Effects. Advanced animation and motion graphics skills desired.
  • Photography experience is a plus, especially headshots, event coverage, and product photography.
