Strategic Analyst Associate

The candidate will work on a 4-person Allata team, in collaboration with our healthcare and life sciences client, to help develop a secure, modern AI-enabled data platform to process massive datasets, streamline data integration, enable cross-company analytics, and address platform and data challenges. This capability is foundational to the client's business strategy and is hence a top executive priority.

The work begins with an 8-week first phase focused on Discovery, Architecture, and Roadmap Development. During this phase, the candidate will be involved in the interviewing senior IT and business stakeholders and synthesize/analyze findings to help generate a strategy.

Along the way, the work will involve identifying and inventorying current data repositories, data processing mechanisms, system inputs and outputs, as well as understanding desired outcomes, pain points, non-functional requirements (i.e., timeliness), reporting and analytics needs, security concerns, and emerging/future wants and needs.

The project team will produce a future state architecture that includes technology and a proposed platform operating model, along with an associated roadmap and execution strategy.

• Interview executive stakeholders
• Synthesize learnings and develop insights, in collaboration with other team members, to provide input into the Strategy and Architecture development process
• Co-produce the strategy and architecture content, along with associated presentation materials operating as a management consultant

• Primary research skills and aptitude (for interviewing and data collection)
• Process analysis and improvement (can understand processes, document them, and suggest improvements)
• Solid written skills, especially Powerpoint
• Solid analytical skills, especially Excel

• Familiarity with the healthcare industry from the perspective of insurance/payers
• Familiarity with data architecture and models
• Familiarity with data pipelines and tooling

• Stong inter-personal presence and oral communication skills to facilitate executive interviewing and running working sessions
• Critical thinking mindset
• Superior ability to think on their feet
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to talk about technology/IT at a foundational (Associate) level
• Previous management consulting experience
