Summary:
The Materials Intern will support the Director of Materials, the Manager of Materials Purchasing, and the
Component Repairs Manager in ensuring timely and efficient stocking of both purchased and repaired
aircraft parts and chemicals. Consistent effort is required to maintain full visibility on our purchased and
repaired parts, for which the Materials Intern will devote a large portion of their time. This position will
also assist with projects, as they are assigned. These include large RFQ provisioning events, ad hoc
analyses, and situational discrepancy investigations.
Ideally, the Materials Intern will have a strong aptitude and desire to work within the Materials supply
chain environment, and have a desire to grow and become conversant within the Aerospace industry.

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined
by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Education Details:
Be within your final semester of coursework and on-track to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in an
Aviation-specific program, Finance, Data Science or Analytics, Engineering or Business discipline
Preferred Requirements:
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products and MS Access.
• Ability to create spreadsheet models and working with large data sets.
• Well-developed planning and organizational skills are required.
• Must be committed to the importance of safety, serving the customer and have excellent
customer service focus.
• Proficient verbal and written skills to effectively communicate in a variety of settings across all
organizational levels.
Job Duties
• Work with the Manager of Materials Purchasing and the Component Repairs Manager to prioritize
open purchase and repair orders for closure.
• Expedite and follow-up with priority orders appropriately to support company stocking positions.
• Submit RFQs using sourcing programs such as Aeroxchange, ILS, or PartsBase to gather
quotations in accordance with SOX guidelines, then contact vendors to expedite results.
• Maintain part status documentation, recording transaction data in a MS Access database.
• Gather pricing for upcoming projects including supplier information and part number clarification.
• Investigate discrepant situations for swift and efficient resolution.
• Perform ad hoc analyses assigned by the Manager of Materials Purchasing and the Component
Repairs Manager.
• Perform other duties, as assigned by Materials Management.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk,

shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate
noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light
fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an
extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
