Registered Nurse - Nurse Investigator Level I or Level II
Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities under the supervision of the Director of Investigative Division and/or Chief Nurse Investigator for: planning, coordinating and conducting investigations; monitoring compliance of licensed/certified individuals under Board Orders; and other assigned activities related to the regulation of nursing. This includes responsibility for coordinating and participating with other city, state and federal agencies as needed in activities related to the enforcement of the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act and other state and federal laws concerning nursing practice.Education And ExperienceAn unencumbered, current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license, bachelor’s degree in nursing required with a master’s degree preferred. Seven years of experience as a Registered Nurse which includes two years in a nursing service position within the last five years, or previous investigative experience. Management/supervision experience preferred. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is the minimum education requirement and applicants without a BSN will not be considered. Applicant must be detail oriented. Current Oklahoma driver’s license with some travel required. Public speaking is required in this position.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And CompetenciesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities include the principles of nursing theory and practice, knowledge of state and federal laws and rules pertaining to the practice of nursing; of the principles of negotiation; and of computers and computer software.
