Serves as the patient's primary physician during patient hospitalization. When we provide Whole Person Care, we help people do more, feel stronger and live better than they ever thought possible.Key Position Details:Job Description:Provides direct patient care for pediatric patients in a hospital setting.Provide coverage in the normal newborn nursery including circumcisions.Provide family-centered care in a community hospital.Review patient's medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.Evaluate, interpret, and coordinate information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care.Provide education, consultation or intervention to patients (treatment plan) and their families.Work collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.Practice in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities.Provide pediatric consultation for ED and surgical patients.Chart in electronic format in accordance with licensure and scope.Actively participate in a multidisciplinary approach to case management.May participate in on-call rotation.May perform procedures such as line placements, ventilator management, and endotracheal intubation.EMR: Excellian (EPIC) is one of the most comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) systems in the nation.Job Requirements:MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.Accredited Residency training program in Pediatrics required.BC/BE for Pediatrics (ABP).Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).NRP and PALS certification required.Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges.Casual position.Physical Demands:Medium Work*:Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently.#J-18808-LjbffrOriginal job Pediatric Hospitalist posted on GrabJobs ©.
