Senior Infrastructure Engineer

You’ll have the opportunity to work on some unique challenges for our core products, and impact thousands of merchants and SaaS companies that rely on us for their day to day operations. 


What you'll be doing
  • Build Core AWS services and infrastructure for compute, storage, network, monitoring, management, databases, and AI/ML.
  • Work closely across engineering to bake AWS standard methodologies, IaC and cost optimizations early in the design process.
  • Understand Cloud TCO and implement tools and processes to improve AWS cost transparency and accountability.
  • Design and Implement Alloy cloud services using AWS and well architected framework principles.
  • Build Alloy cloud resources using Infrastructure as code (IaC – Terraform/Terragrunt) using Gitops principles.


Skills & experience we're excited about
  • Over 5 years of experience running highly available cloud based distributed systems in multiple accounts using IaC
  • Over 5 years of experience developing modular and reusable enterprise grade Terraform code to run AWS services.
  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience with Terraform, Python, Git, AWS and Linux Operating Experience (OS)
  • Proficient with AWS cloud native technologies using AWS Security (IAM, AD, KMS, CloudTrail, Security Hub), AWS Network (Route53, DNS, VPCs, Network ACLs, Security Groups (SGs), Transit Gateway, API Gateway, ALB, NLB, WAF) and AWS Organization Management (SSO, SCP, Control Tower, CloudFormation stacks and stacksets).
  • Proficient with compute and storage services like EC2, AMIs, Redshift, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, CloudWatch, Autoscaling, SQS, Eventbridge, DynamoDB, MongoDB.
  • Understand the importance of security in software development and knowledgeable about common security vulnerabilities and best practices to mitigate them     
  • Have excellent documentation and communication skills, working across teams and ensuring that we have accurate and up-to-date documentation for our internal teams
