The Role
Alloy is looking for a Quality Engineer that will participate in all aspects of creating and operating a Quality Management system capable of processing volume orders from customers working with all departments leading to eventual ISO 9001 certification. The quality engineer will focus on effective and efficient inspection processes, timely processing of rejected material, maintaining good relationships with key suppliers, and on-boarding and training of new quality technicians.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and document standard procedures
Create and execute inspection plans, gather other data as needed
Assist with root cause analysis of issues both internal and at suppliers
Maintain Quality records, prepare customer documentation
Assist with calibration
About You:
Minimum of 2 years experience operating a manufacturing quality system
Experience with part prints, tolerancing
Experience with inspection tools, hand held (micrometers, calipers) and more advanced (comparators, CMM, vision systems).
Ability to write clear instructions and follow instructions.
Comfortable with spreadsheets, Word documents and basic statistics
BS in technical field or engineering preferred
Additional requirements
This position will require access to information subject to control under U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”).
