Financial Analyst

Alpinestars is seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Analyst to support key accounting and financial functions, including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. This role plays a critical part in financial reporting, and analysis to provide insights that drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in the apparel/motorsports industries, strong Excel skills, and thrives in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • A key contributor to the month-end and year-end close.
  • Preparation and posting of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Analyze general ledger accounts, identifying necessary accruals, adjustments, and reclasses.
  • Prepare documents for audits.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis to compare actual performance with budgets and forecasts, identifying key drivers and trends.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models for scenario analysis and strategic planning.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and timely financial reports for senior management, including monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and cash flow reports.
  • Summarize complex financial data into actionable insights, creating presentations for leadership teams.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Ad-hoc analysis and or special projects as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Sales, and Operations, to analyze financial impacts and align business goals.
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement in financial reporting and analysis, implementing best practices and cost reductions opportunities
  • Support leadership in ad hoc financial projects, deep dives, and strategic initiatives.


Required Skills
  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and financial modeling).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) and reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.


Experience Desired
  • 5+ years of accounting and financial analysis experience, preferably in multi-unit or fast-paced industries; Ecommerce/Retails/Consumer Goods
  • Proven experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, and reconciliations.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience focusing on financial planning, reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Prior experience with creating complex financial models, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience with audit preparation and internal control processes.


$70,000 - $85,000 a year
Salary will be based on proven experience.
