To assist and provide shipping, receiving and inventory control service to the site’s operations to assure the timely arrival of finished goods to Customer locations and receipt of raw materials into on-site operational systemsII.DutiesPrimary support and backup for the Logistics Coordinators. Primary backup for Inventory Control program. Manage CHEP pallet inventory. Assist Logistics Coordinators in generating the shipment and/or receiving documentation required for outbound/inbound daily shipments. Audit to make sure all are accurate. This includes: packing lists, pick lists, bills of lading and any other customer specific required documentation Maintains and is accountable for accuracy of inventory and shipments Assist Logistics Coordinators in securing LTL and TL capacity as needed with carriers. Tracing and expediting of shipments as needed. Assist in the receipt of purchased films into perpetual inventory systems Assist in the location of lost or misplaced inventory by physically searching the warehouse locations or documentation and facilitating reconciliation of inventory records Assist in conducting and reconciling cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy May be required to operated forklift as business needs arise Transacts in SAP with the appropriate T-codes to fulfill shipping and receiving requirements. To facilitate and enforce all of the company policies and procedures as they are outlined and defined.III.Knowledge1.Requirements1• Ability to work independently• Good organizational skills and administrative skills to deal with large volume of paperwork and data flow• Ability to work with and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers in a team environment• Good oral and written communication skills• Good problem solving ability.• Working knowledge of computer systems, programs, and MS Windows environment and related programs.• Familiarity with inventory control systems• 2 years of prior experience in customer service, shipping or inventory control would be highly desirable.• Must be willing to learn new systems and programs as the business environment changes.2.Sources• High School education with a business emphasis• Additional business related education (tech school or college courses) would be beneficial but not necessary.IV.Applied knowledgeNormal operating problems are resolved through information gathering, analysis and the application of independent judgment and knowledge acquired through past experience. Major problems will normally necessitate the coordination of various staff and line management within the organizationVContacts1.Internal• Daily and frequent contact with Shift Supervisors, hourly production personnel, production planning, shipping personnel, material handling, Customer Service and Management2.External• Interact daily with carriers, dispatchers and driversVI. Supervision• No direct Supervision responsibilities.• Work DirectionTakes direction from Logistics Supervisor on daily shipping/receiving/inventory priorities and requirements. Is assigned special projects as necessary.• Employee RelationsPromotes and maintains high morale and productivity of all employees through fair and effective practicesV.Responsibility• While there is no direct responsibility for major assets or operations, a considerable impact can be made on sales volume and customer relations through providing the timely shipment of product to the customer and accurately completing all the paperwork for each shipment and receiptVI.Physical Requirements• An employee in this position is required to constantly stand, walk, and sit.• In addition, this position requires considerable manual dexterity for use of computer keyboard and mouse.• The employee is also required to regularly walk through a manufacturing plant and is, therefore, exposed to moderate noise and odor levels• Employee many have to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.• Occasional stooping, kneeling and bending is also required.• Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.When form complete, e-mail to supervisor for approval.
