Find your place in finance on #TeamAmex.The Consumer Banking organization was created to meet Card Members’ ongoing financial services needs beyond the card and deepen our relationships with them. Our Banking LFO team within U.S. Consumer Finance supports AXP’s banking strategy as a part of this membership services vision. This role will focus on financial analysis and decision support for our depositary products, which recently surpassed $100B in customer deposits and constitute the largest funding source to the American Express National Bank.Job Description:The Manager will be responsible for financial decision support and strategic analysis of our depositary products, including our Amex Savings and Consumer Checking portfolios, and our broader Consumer Banking roadmap.Responsibilities:• Build strong relationships with partners in the Consumer Banking business, Treasury, Marketing, Corporate Planning, and other functions to identify critical business questions and frame analyses to help make decisions• Partner with the Business to evaluate profitability scenarios for product configurations and offers, and provide actionable recommendations to influence business strategy• Help shape and define success for our banking products, including understanding the impacts to our card business and broader cardmember engagement strategies• Leverage data to analyze deposit behavior in order to perform portfolio analytics, project deposit volume growth, and evaluate funding considerations and tradeoffs• Develop and maintain deep understanding of the economic environment, our competitive positioning, and resulting impacts to portfolio performance• Effectively communicate complex ideas that drive the strategy of the business – a key component of this role is to develop executive-level presentation content to support regular financial reviews, planning activities, BURs and ad hoc discussions across stakeholder groupsRequired Qualifications:• 4+ years of relevant work experience• Bachelor’s degree required• High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required• Strong financial modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills• Proven ability to structure analyses using large amounts of data• Detail oriented, adaptable, and highly motivated• Able to handle high-pressure and fast-paced environment, while bringing a positive energy to the team• Able to synthesize and articulate complex ideas with brevity, simplicity, and impact• Confidence to ask questions, develop a point of view, and voice an opinion in meetings with senior leadersPreferred Qualifications:• Experience with SQL and/or Cornerstone/Lumi strongly preferredSalary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
