Job DescriptionAs this is a hybrid role, based out of our Creative Studios in Westlake, Ohio, we will focus on candidate who currently reside in Northeast Ohio.The Digital Design Director will be responsible for the vision, creation, and implementation of consumer-facing websites, mobile apps, on-site merchandising, email and social marketing. Focusing on ensuring a consistent, and effective, consumer experience (both transactional and engagement-based). They will understand how design systems and user experiences translate across multiple touch points to achieve specific branding, marketing, and engagement targets that enhance the consumer experience and drive brand engagement - ultimately leading to customer conversion.Embracing an innovator's mindset to connect the digital medium to all other facets of our business to drive growth and advocacy opportunities.This role oversees a team of experienced UX architects, graphic designers, copywriters, and a resource & traffic manager who are all dedicated to optimization and innovation of our digital experiences. Partnering directly with our executive leadership, tech development team, marketing team, and creative group. This position will be responsible for the creation of digital standards and be accountable for ensuring all targets and standards are met.From high-level planning and benchmarking to tactical implementation, this position will be well-versed in digital and content strategies for brands actively engaging with B2C, B2B and blended audiences.• * In order to be considered for this role, please provide a link to or a pdf of examples of your work. *• ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:• Manages a staff of 5+ that are geographically and technically diverse - including UX architects, UI designers, Resource & Traffic managers, and copy editors.• Manages capacity planning for their team, allocating workload and insuring on budget and on time delivery of assigned content.• Manages a roster of ten+ freelancers along with the appropriate budgeting.• Ensures that the work of their team meets quality standards in terms of accuracy and aesthetics.• Produce and oversee visual design across all consumer digital products (e.g. websites, apps, microsites). Serve as editor-in-chief for AG websites, apps, and microsites.• Identify and maintain digital design standards including UI/UX and design systems. Ensure all interfaces are consistent, easy- to-use, and effectively communicates AG?s corporate brand values.• Research and evaluate emerging digital trends and technologies & provide thought leadership on adoption strategies. Gather, synthesize, and apply digital insights to inform strategies that integrate all addressable channels and media.• Familiar with all media required to produce compelling content. Keeps current on industry, design field, technology, and leadership.• Lead design strategy development across different lines of business with innovative, relevant solutions and distinct voices specific to consumer targets. Lead concept and design thinking sessions. Facilitate team deliverables, set quality standards and ensure the successful day to day running of the department. Develop and implement A/B or multivariate tests to provide in- depth insights on the effectiveness of online/digital initiatives.• Collaborates with brand management to ensure that the design solutions meet the business goals and to provide creative and trend insights to guide their requests.• Understands key business goals for AGI; supports senior leadership by translating direction into objectives that are can be supported and executed by their team.• Develops staff to meet skill set and leadership requirements of the department; strong emphasis on supporting the first line managers under their direction.• Sets an inspiring culture and workplace for their team; inspires the best possible work.Experience Required:Required Length & Type ofExperience:• 5+ years' experience with interactive media and/or experience in social expressions.• Minimum 5 years of creative management experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:• Experience managing budget, schedules, and workload for a group.• Demonstrated skill in new product development.• Thorough understanding of digital content creation and main software programs required to create content.• Highly creative, with excellent art direction skills; capable and motivated by getting the best work from others.• Understanding of storytelling or emotional media that can translate to social expressions.• Strong leadership abilities and communication skills.• Capable planning and operational skills.
