User Research Intern

AminoChain is looking for Product Design Interns to help us build the future of biotech, blockchain and AI.

You'll join a team that is smart and very direct. We challenge each other to improve our work, learn, and ask hard questions. We're dedicated to building and testing fast (which means we don't do documentation for documentation's sake). We know the importance of validating assumptions about users and use several types of testing to figure out whether we're right (or wrong). Our bottom line is improving our user's experience—no matter what.

User Research:

  • Assist in planning and conducting mixed-method user research studies, including user interviews, surveys, concept tests, usability tests, and A/B tests.
  • Segment, recruit, and screen participants for research studies.
  • Conduct user interviews and moderate usability tests.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities.
  • Help design personas.

Data Analysis:

    • Analyze user research data to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
    • Create data visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
    • Develop user personas, jobs to be done (JTBD), and journey maps to represent user needs and behaviors.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Pursuing a degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in user experience research and design.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in user research methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency with professional design tools is a plus (primarily Figma,).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Present research findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Opportunity to work on real-world projects and contribute to innovative products in a niche space.
  • Mentorship from founding members of the AminoChain team.
  • A collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Help build and support research best practices, as the design practice is built from the ground up.
  • Be part of a small foundational team in the biotech space. Building great tools in this space is at the core of what we do.
