Job DescriptionThe Director of Business Development secures and maintains new search agreements, using a consultative sales approach to cultivate relationships with client decision-makers. The goal is to maximize market penetration and exposure for the company within the assigned territory, ultimately impacting revenue and market share growth.Job Tasks:• Create and maintain a high level of personal visibility in the industry.• Source leads within the territory through a thoughtful sales strategy to identify current or potential openings appropriate for perm physician services.• Generate new lead sources to increase potential contracts by integrating into the market through association memberships, keeping current with local news, and maintaining contact with previously placed physicians and clients.• Develop an understanding of each client's decision-making process by consulting with client stakeholders to identify and contact the appropriate decision-makers (C-level administrators) for each opportunity.• Overcome potential client concerns and objections by educating them on the benefits of AMN Physician Solutions' unique process to align with their strategy.• Consult with existing clients to uncover additional search opportunities, by identifying potential new revenue streams and recommending succession planning approaches.• Target marketing efforts by developing specific business plans based on unique client information to ensure discussions with clients reflect their market, competitive environment, and organizational footprint.• Qualify each potential search opportunity by analyzing the position, compensation, and other factors compared to market norms to determine whether it is a competitive position that AMN Physician Solutions can reasonably expect to fill.• Negotiate search contracts, including rates and terms to balance client's needs with service options supporting profit.• Maintain Salesforce by updating the system with all new leads, meetings, and opportunities by entering every contact made to follow up appropriately as needed.• Maintain monthly communication with all potential and current clients through email, phone, social media, and face-to-face meetings to maintain relationships and quickly uncover additional needs.• Consult with clients on the full spectrum of relevant AMN services to introduce cross-selling opportunities to Physician Leadership Solutions businesses and other affiliated AMN representatives in other specialties/territories.Internal Customers & Partners• Marketing team members• Recruiting counterparts• Counterparts in Locums and other AMN sister companiesExternal Customers• C-level executives, administrators, practice owners, HR, Medical Directors, and other hospital leaders.• Salesforce for sourcing and contact management• Internet and LinkedIn navigation to research clients, find leads, current events• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Education, Certifications & ExperienceMinimum Education/Certifications:• HS Diploma or GED certificate requiredPreferred Education/Certifications:• Bachelors' degree preferredMinimum Experience:• 5 years' outside sales experience, or successful tenure as a Business Development Consultant and Director, Business DevelopmentRespect • Passion • Continuous Improvement • Trust • Customer Focus • InnovationAMN Healthcare is an EEO/AA/Disability/Protected Veteran EmployerWe encourage minority and female applicants to applyAMN Healthcare is committed to fostering and maintaining a diverse team that reflects the communities we serve.
