Summary of the Position

Ampd Energy is seeking a service technician to provide technical support and repair services for all products in the company. You will be working under the Field Engineering department, with the main tasks such as: delivery, installation, maintenance, and repair of our products at the customer site and in our service centre. You will be working closely with the engineering team to ensure that the product remains functional and in good condition. There will be occasional cooperation with the manufacturing team to assist in testing processes. As a service technician, you are expected to demonstrate clear and professional communication to customers about the products.

You will report to the Field Engineering Lead and will mainly be remote, traveling frequently to customer sites within Hong Kong. You are expected to make occasional visits to Ampd’s warehouse located in Ko Po Tseun, Kam Tin, and to the head office in D2 Place Two, Lai Chi Kok.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate and excited about working with new innovative and environmental technologies.

• Education in electrical engineering or equivalent technical education.
• Holding REW license – grade A/B is preferred.
• Technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical, or process systems.
• Experience with installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic systems (LV and ELV).Experience with the use of multimeters, current clamp probes, megger testers, and ground loop impedance testers.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturer’s drawings and manuals.
• Able to work well independently.
• Working proficiency in Cantonese.

• Provide technical support to customers and conduct repairs on products on customer sites.
• Conduct installation and commissioning procedures of products on customer sites.
• Perform routine maintenance inspections on all the products on customer sites.
• Respond to on-site emergency calls and troubleshoot product issues, sometimes during non-work hours.
• Help collect and analyse data regarding the product reliability, usability, and performance.
• Create/write up test reports and service reports.
