Overview

As a Analyst Customer Applications Support, you will be responsible for the system administration and support of BusinessApplications systems within SITA’s Customer’s Application Support Team. You will assure SITA’s competitive strength and business growth through the provision of the highest quality technical services to our customers at their premises.


Waht you will do:


  • Provide daily system/application administration.
  • Daily Monitoring of Interfaces, Backups and recovery policies and procedures
  • Documents business user requirements through standard systems analysis methodologies.
  • Resolve applications problems directly or in conjunction with vendor and third-party applications developers.
  • Plan growth and changes (Capacity planning)
  • Research and evaluate alternatives to recommend the most efficient and cost- effective solution that meets business requirements and IT standards.
  • Perform database, applications and performance tuning including monitoring and business improvements
  • Provide ownership and accountability for incidents, requests, changes which are related to defined applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot to analyse, resolve and document reported incidents
  • Automate through PowerShell scripting data into production interfacing and reporting and manage verification processes
  • Write test plans to verify that programs and reports perform as expected

Qualifications

Who you are:


  • Diploma or relevant in Information Technology
  • Experience in application support, analysing data, identify trends, spot issues and troubleshooting technics.
  • Good understanding of IT best practices around ITIL frameworks
  • Manages time and shifting priorities effectively and maintains a positive attitude in the face of varying and sometimes conflicting business requirements.
  • Candidate must be capable of taking responsibility for a task and managing it through completion.
  • Ability and desire to learn and support new systems and applications
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work including weekends (on call) and public holidays to cover additional projects.
  • Must have a valid driving license.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
