At AnaVation, we provide unmatched value to our customers and employees through innovative solutions and an engaging culture.Description of Task to be Performed:AnaVation is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Android Lead.The selected candidatewill serve as the technical lead for all Android software development efforts and shall be able to authoritatively and effectively provide guidance in the overall aspects of the software development efforts to include:- Be a leader of juniors, mentor juniors, incrementally plan development and assign tasks - Work with other teams to achieve results, act as team representative/spokesperson- Data architectures, software assurance, and security- Conduct rapid software prototyping to demonstrate and evaluate technologies in relevant environments- Conduct performance, security, and other aspects of evaluating software systems- Test software capabilities, using novel testing and analysis techniques- Document software with an emphasis on architectures, user stories, and interface definitions- Practice agile software development methods, and actively participate on teams of software developers, researchers, designers, and technical leads- Support software development infrastructure and assist in building and configuring computing systems and resources- Interface with technical community and other Government entities to understand challenges, needs, and develop solutions; and - Contribute to improving the overall technical capabilities of the mission by participating in design (software, etc.) sessions, developing unique capabilities, and sharing practices across Government organizations supporting the missionThis position is on-site with our customer in one of the following locations: Quantico, VA; Stafford, VA; Woodbridge, VA; or Chantilly, VA. After successful initial support, there is the possibility for remote support on a case-by-case basis with customer approval.This position requires an active Top-Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a SCI accesses with a polygraph. -Required Qualifications:• Work experience as a SME on a major program, project, or activity. • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the direct performance of a major program, project, or activity relating to computer software development at the user and kernel level, computer programming, and /or computer digital forensics.  • Minimum seven (7) years of intensive software development experience in modern languages such as C/C++ or Python • Knowledge of other commonly used languages such as Rust, Pen, Ruby, JavaScript, Go, etc.• Working knowledge of some modern computing paradigms and environments such as NoSQL systems, cloud computing and virtualization, parallel programming, network programming, mobile development, and interface development• Experience with end-to-end software development activities in Linux and Android• Familiarity with modern software development tools, version control systems, and bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, Gitlab, etc.)• Working knowledge and experience in participating in agile software development practices and team design sessions• Experience working on a software development team (with a focus on the Android operating system); and • Demonstrated problem solving ability with aptitude to explore and evaluate many possible solutions to problems. • Education: Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering from an accredited university/college. Alternatively, at the discretion of the customer, a combination of experience and equivalent technical certifications maybe be considered as substitutes for formal education.Preferred Qualifications:• Software Engineer contributed to open-source development projects. Benefits· Generous cost sharing for medical insurance for the employee and dependents· 100% company paid dental insurance for employees and dependents· 100% company paid long-term and short term disability insurance· 100% company paid vision insurance for employees and dependents· 401k plan with generous match and 100% immediate vesting· Competitive Pay· Generous paid leave and holiday package· Tuition and training reimbursement· Life and AD&D InsuranceAbout AnaVationAnaVation is the leader in solving the most complex technical challenges for collection and processing in the U.S. Federal Intelligence Community.
