Anchorage Digital is looking for a dynamic and experienced Learning & Development Lead to join our People Operations team and play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth across our Village. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Anchorage Digital’s learning and development programs.


We have created the Factors of Growth & Impact to help Villagers better measure impact and articulate coaching, feedback, and the rich and rewarding learning that happens while exploring, developing, and mastering the capabilities and contributions within and outside of the Learning & Development Lead role:


Technical Skills:
  • Has deep knowledge of adult learning theories, instructional design, and training methodologies.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) and other learning technologies; ensure content is up to date, well documented, and easily accessible to employees.
  • Build analytics and key metrics to track completion and measure the effectiveness of training programs.


Complexity and Impact of Work:
  • Collaborates with leaders and other stakeholders to understand company-wide developmental & compliance needs and create comprehensive learning strategies based on assessment.
  • Design, develop, and implement training initiatives, including (but not limited to) leadership development programs, technical skills training, onboarding training programs, etc.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, metrics, and analysis; make improvements as needed.
  • Partner with People Partners, organizational leaders, and other stakeholders to identify training needs and provide solutions that enhance employee performance and career growth for specific organizational needs.
  • Develop and manage the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation while maximizing impact.


Organizational Knowledge:
  • Design and deliver impactful learning programs that align with organizational goals and support employee development.
  • Collaborate with People Partners to identify high-potential employees and develop skills and succession plans.
  • Stay up to day about trends and best practices in learning and development; recommend innovative solutions to enhance the learning experience.


Communication and Influence:
  • Leads with empathy when interacting and communicating with members of the Village. Embodies and is a role model for our culture within the domains of One Team, One Village, Creative & Curious, and Shared Consciousness.
  • Seamlessly contributes and adds value to cross-functional projects across the Village. Is able to work alongside members of the Village on a variety of projects.
  • Is an active collaborator within the People team and effectively communicates to drive shared consciousness across the different functions of the team.
  • Is able to influence members of the Village on the need to shift thoughts or change established processes.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with managers and Villagers to establish trust and consistency.


You may be a fit for this role if you have:
  • Experience as a Learning & Development Specialist, Training Manager, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience designing and delivering a variety of training methods
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
