Principal Engineer, Localization

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company seeking a Principal Engineer specializing in localization and navigation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in robotics and navigation algorithms.

Skills

Expertise in C++ or Rust
Experience in developing localization algorithms
Strong knowledge of GNSS and inertial navigation
Knowledge of Kalman filtering and estimation techniques
Experience with sensor calibration and fusion

Responsibilities

Design and develop algorithms for real-time navigation and path planning
Implement sensor fusion techniques
Develop simulation and testing environments
Optimize fault tolerant algorithms
Analyze mission requirements for navigation system architecture
Lead navigation and positioning community of practice
Drive evaluation and integration of advanced navigation sources

Education

Master's or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics or a related field
